10 Feb Influencer Q&A with Bec Jayne from @bybecjayne

In today’s influencer Q&A we sit down with Bec Jayne from @bybecjayne. We chat with Bec about her top tips for taking an amazing photo, how to build your influence online and what we can expect from her over the next 12 months.

Tell us a bit about your background and how you came about starting @bybecjayne.

I started with just sharing some favourite products and also photographing Ella in outfits from our favourite stores. We got our first brand rep role 2.5 years ago and have since moved onto a more family oriented feed which includes more of myself.

Your shots are flawless, can you share some of your top tips for nailing a photo?

I now use the iPhone 11 pro and love the ease of use! I actually edit within the Instagram app! It’s so easy if photos need a bit of brightening etc.

Photographing the girls, we’ve evolved from the standard pose against a backdrop, to more real, everyday shots where they are having fun and really using the clothing/products. It is definitely much easier this way and I love the end product.

Do you have any tips for influencers looking to market themselves on social media?

Find some accounts you love and watch how they work (obviously don’t copy) but you can take cues from their feeds.

Engagement is key! I’ve built so many great online friendships simply by commenting/sending messages. If you love what someone does, let them know!

Don’t compete and be supportive. We all have different styles and no two feeds will be the same. Find who you vibe with and build your own community.

Describe your perfect day.

This is a tough question! Every day is so different for us. A perfect day could one day be home playing with the girls and watching a movie. The next perfect day could be a beach picnic!

This sounds cheesy but I find most days a perfect day!

Hopefully more fun events we can invite our followers to! More of myself with the girls, and more family shots.
