5 Brands That Are #nailingit On Social Media

We recently looked at the most popular brands on Instagram in The #InstaFamous Report, so this week we thought we’d take a peek at some of the Aussie brands that are nailing it on Instagram, both aesthetically and in their success with influencer marketing. Here are some of our Aussie favourites who take swoon-worthy pictures to the extreme.

@triangl

With 2.7 million followers, @triangl is definitely doing something right when it comes to Instagram. The brand started as a pipeline dream and has quickly become one of the most popular bikini brands on the international market thanks to strategic influencer marketing. Founders Erin Deering and Craig Ellis started out by gifting swimsuits to followers and influencers when they first launched. Today, international celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Beyonce and Miley Cyrus have uploaded pictures in the neoprene bikini to their social media platforms and local models/influencers Michelle McNamee, Dani Bonnor, Bridgete Malcolm, Natasha Oakley, Renee Somerfield, Emma Lucey and Gabrielle Grace Epstein all appear frequently on the @triangl account. A little bit of #babetown never hurts!

@spell_byronbay

If you’re a fan of bohemian gypsy fashion and don’t know who we’re talking about when we say Spell Designs, then you’re missing out – big time! @spell_byronbay has been smashing it on Instagram for a while now, with 3+ new pictures every day and a cult following of 495,000. From a little boutique in Byron Bay, the brand is taking the world by storm, one Coachella inspired piece at a time. So what’s their secret? Epic content that is an even mix between new-season editorial produced in house, user generated content and dreamy settings to inspire the Spell girl in us all.

@lornajaneactive

We can’t talk about epic Aussie brands on Instagram without including LJ – the queen of active living and women’s sportswear. With an international following of 576K, the team behind @lornajaneactive know how to create an on-point feed that gets the active folk moving and the rest of us inspired to adopt the MNB way of life. With a collection of product posts, healthy recipes and workouts to scroll through, we can’t argue that they’re killing it on Insta.

@beginningboutique

There’s no denying Beginning Boutique mastered the World Wide Web from the beginning, and that extends to social media platforms. @beginningboutique has 511,000 Instagram followers hanging on their every upload (usually 6-8 a day!), from product shots and flatlays to the occasional cat pic and discount code, nailing it is an understatement. They’re also Brisbane based, like us, so we give them two ticks of approval!

@samanthawills

Finally, we couldn’t forget @samanthawills – the Australian expat kicking goals all the way from New York with her bespoke jewellery label, Samantha Wills. The brands Instagram account is also Samantha’s personal one too, so expect to see heaps of content, all day, everyday. With 189K followers and counting, the @samanthawills feed is beautiful beyond words, filled with pictures of her gorgeous jewellery, beach babes, press shots, customer #regrams, lifestyle pics chronicling the Australian designer, beautiful scribe penned by the one and only and more.

In closing, these guys are #nailingit. There’s one thing that each of these 5 brands do well, and that’s use influencers to create brand awareness as a new aspect of their marketing mix. After all, influencers are the media of the future, and brands that are collaborating with them now will no doubt see success in their business model moving forward.

So, what Aussie brands do you think have mastered the art of Instagram? Tell us in the comments below!
